About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to access physical conditions, limitations, and pain .
Collaborate with patients to establish personalized treatment goals aimed at improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
Treatment Planning & Implementation:
Design and implement individualized treatment plans using a combination of manual therapy, biofeedback, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients on injury prevention, exercises, and home care strategies.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Provide clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and expected outcomes.
Patient Education & Support:
Offer guidance
Provide resources for continuing pelvic health care, including at-home exercises and self-care practices.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
Ensure documentation reflects patients' treatment plans, progress, and follow-up needs.
Requirements
Doctorate in Physical Therapy | Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Program
Current Physical Therapy license for the state of New Mexico
Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or other related field
Possess and enhances up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices
Ability to safely perform therapy in a pool environment and lift or assist patient
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients
Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for patients
Demonstrates a “servitude” attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management skills to manage daily case load
Strong leadership qualities
Basic computer skills
Perform related duties as required
