At Balanced Physical Therapy and Wellness, we believe that great patient care starts with clinicians who feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. One of the most meaningful parts of our practice is watching our team members evolve professionally while deepening their impact on the community. This is especially true in Miranda's journey to Co-Owner.
Miranda shares her path from joining Balanced to becoming a pelvic health specialist and Co-Owner, and what that growth has meant to her both personally and professionally.

Looking for More Than Just a Job
When she first joined Balanced as a PTA, she was searching for more than a place to clock in and out. She was hoping for change, partnership, and a sense of community. Most importantly, she wanted a space where she could continue learning, expanding her knowledge, and building her skills.
Early on, it became clear that Balanced was a place where growth was encouraged. Having autonomy in how she practiced and feeling trusted as a clinician made a lasting impression. Rather than feeling like a number, she felt valued as an individual and supported as part of a team. That sense of belonging and family is something she still feels today.
Discovering a Passion for Pelvic Health
Her journey into pelvic health began after several years of working in orthopedic physical therapy. As she gained exposure to pelvic care, she realized it was more than just another specialty. It was a passion.
Her interest was shaped by personal experience, including a difficult delivery and pelvic floor challenges that began long before she understood what they were. Learning about her body and how pelvic health impacts daily life sparked a desire to help others navigate similar challenges. What began as curiosity grew into a commitment to educating and supporting people of all genders through pelvic physical therapy.
She has now been practicing pelvic health full time for about eight years, helping patients feel informed, confident, and empowered in their own bodies.
Pursuing Advanced Certification With Support
After several years of treating pelvic health patients, she was motivated to pursue her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC). For her, this step was about ensuring that her care aligned with current clinical research and best practices. It was also about honoring the responsibility that comes with treating such a personal and impactful area of health.
Throughout that process, she felt supported by Balanced in continuing her education and advancing her expertise. That encouragement made it possible to grow confidently as a clinician while continuing to provide high quality, evidence based care to patients.
Stepping Into Co Ownership
Becoming a Co-Owner was not something she always planned, but it was always a possibility in the background. Taking that leap required courage, but it also felt exciting and deeply rewarding.
For her, co ownership represents growth, teamwork, and service to the community. It means supporting a team that supports each other, continuing to learn, and creating an environment where both clinicians and patients can thrive. It is not just about leadership, but about shared purpose and collective impact.
She hopes to continue this work for many years to come, growing alongside the team and the community they serve.
A Culture Built on Growth and Community
Stories like this reflect what Balanced Physical Therapy and Wellness strives to create every day. A place where clinicians are encouraged to grow, where passions are supported, and where leadership is built on collaboration and care.
When our team feels supported, our patients benefit. And when we invest in our people, we strengthen our ability to serve the community with compassion, expertise, and purpose.
Congratulations Miranda! We are grateful you brought your talent and passion to Balanced.
